Saren comes from a reasonably well-off family that is originally from Aisa, but moved to Jarea a few years before he was born due to work. When he was thirteen his parents sent him to study in Aisa, where he lived with relatives until he was eighteen. He's had various jobs including, but not limited to; being a masseuse, waiter, shopkeeper at a small boutique, and an assistant at a bakery.

In school he studied general art and design though he focused mostly on fashion design, and at twenty-six he went back to Jarea. Using the money he'd saved for the past few years (as well as borrowing a little from his parents) he opened his own business, a maid café of all things... Saren custom designs and makes all the employees' outfits and does most of the finishing designs on the pastries served at the café along with assisting with waiting on tables and cooking; eventually he'd like to add a small clothing boutique to 『Seppo♥~!』.

Living in Aisa for so long, it's hard for him to understand the way some things are in the much more conservative Jarea, especially in regard to gender roles, people of different races, and those who have abilities... Although his Aisan born open mindedness is one of his best qualities, it's at times also one of his worst.

Saren's outfits usually consist of things he's made himself and the latest designer pieces from Aisa and typically with base colors of black and white with touches of color. His light brown hair reaches to his mid back and is normally left down with clips keeping his long bangs out of his eyes or pulled back loosely with a simple black ribbon. His Koyanyaa ears and tail are a mix of white, orange, and light brown; and in Jarea he usually keeps them hidden under simple beanie hats and long loose fitting clothes.
